Post by Rainer on Thu 29 May 2008 - 0:24

Hello,
here is a discussion about a norvigian harbor town:

Do you know which town it is?
Best regards
Rainer

Picture nr. 1 and 2 is from Tromsø.
The picture with the 3 soldiers is from the top of Tromsø island, viewing the mountain "Fløya" straight ahead, and to the left you can spot a part of the "Tromsdalstinden".
The second picture with the harbour is also Tromsø. The sportingground is "Valhall" (or "idrettsplassen" was the old name). You can see the "kullkran" ( the big crane), and "Lærfabrikken" (the leather factory to the left of the crane)
Thanks for the link

Interesting photos and taken within 1 km of where i live. I see the poster says his opa was a radio operator in the Luftwaffe. Either he was quartered there and worked at Skattøra seaplane base or he worked at the weather station which was and still is quite close to where the photos were taken.
