seeking on-line list of Norwegian decorations awarded

I am seeking an on-line source for Norwegian decorations awarded during World War II. The Netherlands has an on-line listing of all decorations awarded to both Dutch and foreign citizens during World War II. I am hoping something similar exists for Norwegian decorations. Such a site would list each Norwegian decoration and then give at least the name/rank/service of the person receiving the award, if not also the wording of the citation.

I recently obtained some documents from the Norwegian national archives in Oslo that pertain to liaison between the Royal Norwegian Navy and the Royal Navy. Quite a few of the pages listed RN officers and men who were awarded either the Norwegian War Medal (Krigsmedaljen) or the King Haakon VII Commemory Medal. Any sort of comprehensive listing of Norwegian decorations awarded to foreign subjects would allow me to find additional names of RN personnel on liaison duty with Norwegian ships.

I welcome any assistance a member of this forum can offer. While I cannot read the Norwegian language, I can recognize words that are similar to words in English and/or German. I also have an English/Norwegian dictionary.

Thank you for suggesting this web site. One of the medals profiled does list Norwegian naval personnel who were awarded that medal. Still, no list for the other medals and no indication of foreign subjects who received Norwegian decorations.

Thank you Bjorn for providing a listing of the Norwegian medals associated with the war. My main interest is a list of the individual people who received a Norwegian decoration, and a description of what that man did to earn it.

Here you will find a nice overview over the various norwegian warmedals and sometimes who got them, both nationals and foreigners.

This is an on-line complete list of recipiants of Kongens Fortjenstmedalje. For the other decorations it currenty just shows decorations awarded after 2002, which is probabbly not much useful.
The list includes alle recipiants, not only decorations eared for war-time service. The list does show why the decoration is awarded. Nor does it show the recipiant's nationality or year of birth. But you can search for names. Keep in mind that many of the decorations for war-time efforts was awarded several decades after the war.

Thank you to the two kind individuals, Cutstone and ST-56-NF, who have recently posted suggestions about on-line sources of Norwegian military decorations. I will examine these sites. I cannot read Norwegian in any meaningful way, just recognize words that are closely related to words I know in English and German. Still, this is a start.
