Augustine Courtauld

Post  Bob Pearson on Mon 24 May 2010 - 21:28

Does anyone know anything about Augustine Courtauld RNVR? He sailed his small sailing ship, the 'Duet' to Norway in 1939 and proceeded to map the west coast for the Admiralty. Later he was involved with MTBs, but a far as I know not in Norway. I am aware that there is an Augsutine Courtauld Trust, which is named in honour of the man and I am also aware that he wrote a book, 'Man the Ropes' published in 1957, but I am hoping someone may have other information on this man.

Thanks in advance
