Crown Prince expected 2% to get executed..

Hello!
Rather quiet in this section...

I enclose a scan from New York Times 14.5.45.
It clearly states that Crown Prince (later king) Olav honestly expected 2% of his population would get death penalty. In 1945, that would have been close to 90 000...

That sounds quite amazing; since he knew he would be the king of Norway one day. This makes him sound more like a ancient war king of the medeval period.

the figure seems on the low side, almost correct - unfortunately all important documents are still classified - many Norwegians were murdered and cremated during 1945-1947 - their property confiscated - anybody that received funds from Organisation Todt (OT) was classified as a traitor and dealt accordingly - this continues still today ...

it seems that his wife, the Swedish Martha, was designated for the 2% group - she was poisoned, King Haakon was poisoned in 1957
